Heritage craft workshops offered

Handcrafts are an historic part of Western North Carolina and Extension.
Beginning in the 1950s the North Carolina Cooperative Extension began offering handcraft workshops throughout Western North Carolina to assist local residents to learn new skills and market their handcrafts to increase family income.
This year the 2011 heritage skills workshops are being offered Sept. 27 and 28 at the Cooperative Extension Research Station in Arden.
Come out to learn a new skill or brush up on an old favorite.
