Norfolk Southern personnel recently made repairs to the railroad crossings in the central business district of Tryon. Compromised railroad ties were extracted and replaced with asphalt in all five of the railroad crossings in Tryon. Work will also include crossings at Second Street, Lockhart Road and Horseshoe Curve. Tryon officials credit resident Seth Davis, who worked to get the improvements implemented.
