The Wolverines picked up back-to-back wins at the end of last week, defeating Chase 7-6 and then Asheville Christian Academy 5-2.
On Tuesday the Wolverines fell 10-2 against East Rutherford, dropping their early season record to 3-2.
Brandon Jolley got his career 19th win for the Wolverines in the game against Chase, allowing just two earned runs. Joel Booker was 2-for-3 for Polk, which scored seven runs on just five hits.
Against Asheville Christian, Danny Fraga earned the win. He allowed only one hit in six innings, and struck out seven. Rooster Ross, Nick Montgomery and Clint Harris each had two hits for Polk.
Dakota Turner took the loss for the Wolverines against East Rutherford, which took a 6-0 lead after three innings. Ross had two of Polks four hits. Andre Overholt had a double.
The Wolverines were scheduled to play Landrum on Thursday, but the game was rained out.
