Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Aug. 10 with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 91 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are printed as they appear in court records):
Brady Eugene Kenan was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kenan was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.
Thomas Wayne Rains was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rains was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Derrick Thomas Ramer was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Ramer was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
