FENCE to host needle felting workshop on Thursday

TRYON—The community is invited to join fiber artist Irene Heckel-Volpe at FENCE on Thursday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a Black Bear Needle Felting Workshop. 

The workshop is an opportunity to needle felt a cute replica of a bear, a favorite native wild animal. This project will help refine techniques learned at previous workshops while also introducing new ones, such as creating bodies and sturdy legs for creations to stand on.

Previous needle felting experience is helpful but not necessary. Participants should plan to pack a lunch and snacks for this workshop. 

There is a fee per person for this workshop, which includes supplies. Advanced registration is required for this event.
