Ariana Wood is the recipient of the Green Blades Garden Club horticulture scholarship.

TRYON—Green Blades Garden Club of Tryon is pleased to award the club’s horticulture scholarship to Ariana Wood from Saluda. This is the club’s fourth year to offer financial aid. Janet Glancy and Vard Henry, chairmen of the Scholarship Committee, said that there were very strong candidates but, “Ariana’s passion for soil science and her stellar transcript made our decision easy.” 

She will be attending Oregon State University. Congratulations to Ariana and to Chauncey Barber, who leads Polk County High School’s strong horticultural program.
