The Polk County Family YMCA is accepting registration for its recreational youth soccer program through July 27, with late registration available through Aug. 3 if space permits.
The program is open to children ages 3-14, with registration fees of $55 for ages 3-5 and $70 for ages 6-14. Both fee structures include a jersey, shirt and socks. A $20 late fee will be added to all registrations received after July 27. Players can register online via the YMCA website.
According to program organizers, the recreational soccer program provides a supportive environment for children of all skill levels to learn fundamentals while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship and enjoyment of the sport. Experienced coaches guide players through instruction.

The program operates on different schedules based on age groups. Children ages 3-5 will practice and play games on the same day each week, with a 30-minute practice followed immediately by a game against another team. Players ages 6-14 will practice one day per week for an hour and play games on a separate day.
Practices are scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 18.
