Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce holds monthly gathering for local businesses

 

LANDRUM—On July 17, the Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Business After Hours event at P3 Retail for Rescue, located at 112 East Rutherford Street. 

Local businesses had the opportunity to network at the event while enjoying a variety of refreshments and giveaways. P3 Co-Founder Kelly Vinesett was enthusiastic about the turnout

“Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we provided samples of the food we sell at our shop,” Vinesett said. “The atmosphere was so engaging that we didn’t even have a chance to make formal announcements; everyone was just mingling and enjoying themselves.”

Attendees participated in a scratch-off ticket game at the event, featuring playful cartoons of P3’s three resident cats, that offered rewards including discounts and gift bags. Networking connections made during the event proved fruitful, with several businesses reaching out the same night or the following day, expressing interest in collaborating on future events or making donations.

Vinesett went on to explain the mission of the P3. 

“We offer grant opportunities to local rescues that meet our criteria,” she said. “Our grants are fluid, evolving based on which rescues align with our goals. We issue these grants quarterly, and with 75% of retail sales going to fund these opportunities, we also host bingo events to help grow our grant funds.”

Looking ahead, P3 has an exciting calendar planned for the upcoming year, highlighted by “Baskets Brunch” on February 19, 2026, and the Third Annual Paws in Landrum Pet Expo on March 21, 2026. Bingo nights are scheduled throughout May, June, September, and October.

The Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce supports businesses across Tryon, Landrum, Columbus, and Saluda. The next Foothills Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event will take place on August 21 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wildflower Wellness in Tryon.
