Landrum High School set to host sports camps over the summer

LANDRUM—Landrum High School will be hosting a variety of sports camps for its students over summer break. Athletes will attend these camps to expand their knowledge of their respective sports and meet their future teammates and coaches.
The Landrum Football Youth Camp will take place from Monday, May 27, through Thursday, May 29. It will offer a fun and competitive football experience to kindergarten through 6th-grade students. Students should be dropped off at 8 a.m., with onfield activities taking place from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Student pick-up will be from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; lunch will be provided to athletes during that time. The Landrum High School Kiddie Camp welcomes its newest cheerleaders, ages 4 through twelve, to attend a three-day camp dedicated to teaching the ropes of cheerleading. The camp will take place from Thursday, July 17, through Saturday, July 19, with a special camper performance taking place on the last day of camp. The camp will be instructed by the Landrum High School Cheer Team and will include an LHS Cheer Camp shirt, a shopping experience at the Cardinal Store, free entry to the first home football game of the 2025 season, and a special sideline performance with the varsity cheerleaders. The camp will run from 9 to 11 a.m. on the first two days and 9 a.m. to noon on the last day. The camp costs $50 for the first camper and $25 for each additional sibling. Registration closes June 16. Coach Smith’s Summer Youth Basketball Camp will take place from Monday, June 9, to Wednesday, June 11. It will cover all areas of basketball, including ball handling, passing, shooting, getting open, and rebounding. The camp is available to students in first through eighth-grade and will cost $60 to attend. Each camper will receive a camp basketball to take home and learn the fundamentals of basketball from Coach Lyn Smith. The camp will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each day. The 2025 Landrum Baseball Camp will be available to rising K5 and sixth graders from Monday, June 2, through Wednesday, June 4. Coach Justin Henson, his staff, current LHS baseball players, and former players will instruct the camp. Campers will take home a camp shirt and knowledge of the game of baseball.
