The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played their 2025 Opening Day event on March 31. It was a Carolina Scramble format with closest to the pin contests on both par 3’s. They had a very nice lunch after the round. The results were as follows:

 

1st place – Roger Dehnel, John Schickling, Jerry Perry – 32

2nd place – Keith Beaver, Bill Basye, Donnie Carruth, John  House – 33

3rd place – Jerry Pospisil, Rusty Stokes, George Torres, Dennis Sakos – 34

#12 – Roger Dehnel – 3’ 6”

#12 – Forward Tees – John House – 26’ 9”

#17 – Mike Axelrod – 15’ 6”

#17 – Forward Tees – Tom Bolling – 12’ 9”

 

The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association played a 2 best ball of 3 format on April 1st. They got to throw out their worst hole. The results were as follows:

 

1st place – Patty Aldred, Lisa Bjerring, Faith Weathington

2nd place – Heidi Shull, Diane Torres, Deborah Carmichael

3rd place – Marge Avery, Nancy Mahler, Stephanie Lyons
