Tanisha Akinloye, CEO and Founder of Empowering Through Beauty, proudly donated a generous supply of care packages, known as “Love Cans,” to Steps to Hope on Saturday, December 21. This outreach is part of her organization’s commitment to providing support to those in need during special holidays such as Christmas.

The Love Cans are thoughtfully filled with essential items and special treats, each accompanied by uplifting notes written by students from Polk County schools. These heartfelt messages are designed to bring joy and encouragement to individuals facing difficult circumstances, showcasing the compassion and creativity of the youth in our community.

“We believe in the power of love and positivity, especially during the holiday season,” said Tanisha Akinloye. “I still have hundreds of notes that we will be distributing in 2025, allowing us to continue spreading love and support to those in our community and beyond. Steps to Hope has a number of clients living in the shelter, and I wanted to ensure that there were plenty of Love Cans available to bless those who may come later through their program.”

The donation was warmly received by the staff of Steps to Hope, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering hope in the community. The Love Can outreach is just one way Empowering Through Beauty aims to uplift individuals and families during challenging times.
