Polk County battled Saturday to a third-place finish at The Ugly Sweater Duals wrestling tournament in Travelers Rest, S.C.

Facing teams from some of the largest high schools in South Carolina, the Wolverines finished 4-2 for the day, losing close decisions to Boiling Springs and West Oak.

Polk County is now 11-2 on the season. The Wolverines are back in action on Wednesday, competing in a tri-match at Hendersonville with the host Bearcats and Tuscola.
