TRYON—Polk County Farms recently announced its upcoming Friends of Agriculture breakfast, scheduled for Wednesday, December 18 at 7 a.m. This festive gathering will take place at the Mountain Brook Winery, located at 731 Phillips Dairy Rd. in the heart of the Green Creek community.
Held in the winery’s Experience Center, the breakfast will coincide with the much-anticipated 2nd Annual Holiday Tree Walk. Attendees are encouraged to embrace sustainability by bringing along their own coffee mugs, plates, and utensils. A holiday theme is also encouraged, adding a touch of cheer to the morning.
After the breakfast event, Mountain Brook Winery will be offering a special wine talk and tour for those eager to learn more about local wines.
In addition to the breakfast, the Second Annual Holiday Tree Walk will delight visitors as local business sponsors showcase their beautifully decorated holiday trees. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree by purchasing $1 tickets, which can be placed in designated boxes in front of each tree. All proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue.
Mountain Brook Winery, Ag South Farm Credit, and the Polk County Farm Bureau are sponsors for this month’s event. Join your friends and neighbors for a morning of fellowship, food, and festive cheer while supporting a great cause and celebrating agriculture and community.
