Megan Deasy O’Brien, 53, died October 29, 2024, at her home on Brier Rose Farm after a relentless battle against cancer.
A true horsewoman, Megan did it all: trained, showed, judged, foxhunted and bred horses. Her legacy continues not only with the countless lives she impacted, but also with the passion she infused into the equestrian community.
Megan will be remembered for her altruistic spirit which extended to both animals and to people in need of shelter. This was evidenced by her constant entourage of rescued dogs, cats and friends; all of whom she never turned away. She will be truly missed.
Information regarding the Celebration of Life party will be forthcoming.
Donations may be made in memory of Megan O’Brien to Foothills Humane Society, Paws Prayers and Promises, or any cancer charity.
