MILL SPRING—Guiding Reins, a local organization focused on equine-assisted mental health services, recently participated in Crisis Intervention Team training with Polk County CIT partners.

The training, which took place in late September, included South Mountain NAMI, Vaya Health, Isothermal College, and Polk County crisis first responder agencies.

The afternoon was spent with 11 participants at Guiding Rein’s host farm, Bright’s Creek Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, sharing available programs and services for veterans, first responders, and their families.
