Dates for Christmas Stroll, parade, and more
TRYON—The Tryon Downtown Development Association recently announced several events to celebrate the holiday season, starting with Small Business Saturday on November 30.
Small Business Saturday is held the first weekend after Thanksgiving each year to give community members a head start on holiday shopping while supporting a variety of downtown businesses. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m..

The following week, the Tryon Christmas Stroll will be held on Friday, December 6, kicking off Christmas celebrations in style. Festive music, carolers, holiday treats and more will be featured, and downtown businesses and art galleries will offer extended shopping hours and refreshments. The event will also feature the lighting of the Town Christmas Tree at the Plaza, which has become a centerpiece of downtown Tryon during the holiday season. The stroll will take place from 5 to 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, December 11, the Tryon Christmas Parade will make its way through downtown. The parade is hosted by the Tryon Fire Department and will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Dozens of memorable floats and organizations will take part in the annual tradition as participants spread holiday cheer and children anxiously wait for a glimpse of Santa.
To finish the year off with a bang, the Tryon Midnight event will take place on Tuesday, December 31, as attendees bid farewell to 2024 and prepare for the new year. A unique ball drop will be held at the clock tower at 10 p.m.. The event will take place from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
