LANDRUM—In their first game after Tropical Storm Helene, the Landrum Cardinals put on a stellar performance on the road, securing a decisive 28-6 victory against the Blacksburg Wildcats.

The game started with a strong showing from the Cardinals in the first quarter, led by Titus Poore’s ground game, which led them to take an early 7-0 lead. A long run by Aidan Kelley set up another rushing touchdown by AJ Lindsey and a successful point-after attempt from Joey Martinez, which extended Landrum’s lead to 14-0.

The Cardinals maintained their dominance in the second quarter, capitalizing on turnovers and a fumble recovery to add another touchdown. Their defense played a crucial role, forcing turnovers on downs and maintaining their shutout heading into halftime.
