TRYON—The Town of Tryon Candidates Forum, originally slated for Monday, October 7, has been rescheduled to Thursday, October 10. The event will occur from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tryon Depot, located at 22 Depot St.
Organized by a group of Tryon citizens, the forum will welcome candidates running for mayoral and town council positions. Confirmed attendees include mayoral candidates Doug Arbogast, Chrelle Booker, and incumbent J. Alan Peoples. While not all Town Council candidates have confirmed attendance, all are invited to participate.
Each candidate will address the audience for five minutes before the forum transitions into a town hall-style gathering. Members of the audience are encouraged to submit their questions in advance, and select inquiries will be presented to the candidates during the event.
The forum is open to the public and will be an informative opportunity for Tryon residents to hear directly from the candidates vying for leadership positions in the town.
