The American Red Cross has been fully activated to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, including areas in and around the Tryon area.

Red Cross officials expect that it will take days to understand the full scope and magnitude of the storm.

The organization recommends three things you can do right now to help people affected:

•  Make a financial donation to ensure people receive the help they need and don’t face this difficult time alone.
• Schedule an appointment to donate blood and ensure lifesaving blood is available for hospital patients in need.
• Sign up to volunteer with us so that you can help people affected by disasters like Helene.
