SALUDA—On Saturday, June 29, beginning at noon, the Polk County Unity Masonic Lodge, located at 662 Ozone Dr. in Saluda, will host one of its popular charity fundraiser BBQ events. This will be followed by a Breakfast Fundraiser event on Saturday, July 6.

During the BBQ Fundraiser, pulled pork by the pound in vacuum-sealed packages will be available for $12, and half racks of ribs will be available for $15. The lodge will also be serving a lunch of pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, and hush puppies for $12, and a similar lunch including a half rack of BBQ ribs with sides for $15.  

Then, the following Saturday, the Masonic Lodge will be serving its Traditional Coon Dog Day Charity fundraising breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, fried potatoes and onions, biscuits and sausage gravy, juices and coffee. The cost for this breakfast will be $12 per plate. Polk County Unity Masonic Lodge invites the community to come out and enjoy these worthy events. 

All net proceeds from both fundraisers will support the children at the Masonic Home in Oxford, N.C., and the Masonic Lodge’s newly established 501c3 account for local Polk County charitable needs.
