COLUMBUS—Four Seasons Grief Services will present an adult grief workshop, “Gluing Grief Together: The Art of Collage,” on Monday, May 20, at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Library.
Collage comes from a French word meaning “to stick together.” Creating a collage after the death of a loved one is an active and creative way to access, process, and cope with grief. Participants in this workshop will use watercolors, magazine clippings, and other media, and emphasis will be placed on the process rather than the final product. Participants will be introduced to strategies for collaging photos or other personal items, and adaptations for children will be shared. All materials will be provided.
To register for “Gluing Grief Together: The Art of Collage,” email JGodfrey@FourSeasonsCFL.org or call 828-692-6178 and ask for Grief Services.
