Hernandez receives Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree

Kristin Caroline (Wade) Hernandez received her Doctorate degree from N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, May 4, 2024. This prestigious achievement was acknowledged by the symbolic Oath and Hooding ceremony held the prior day. 

Dr. Hernandez is the daughter of Denise Constance of Columbus, N.C., and graduated from Polk County High School in 2014. She was a member of the Polk FFA and the marching Cadets. In 2018, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Appalachian State University. Before pursuing her DVM degree at N.C. State, Dr. Hernandez obtained her Master’s Degree in Animal Science in 2020 from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Dr. Hernandez will practice veterinary medicine in N.C., where she and her husband, Dennis, reside.
