No injuries reported 

TRYON—A two-vehicle collision occurred in Tryon on Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Lynn Rd and Harmon Field Rd, just outside city limits.

The accident occurred between a dark blue SUV and a red pickup truck in the bend near the fork leading to Harmon Field, temporarily closing both lanes on Lynn Rd. 

According to Michael Purdy of the Tryon Fire Department, the collision occurred just before 3 p.m. Tryon Police and Fire Departments were on the scene moments after. 

“I was coming down the road to pick up my son from pre-k, and just bad tires and wet roads just totally got us,” said Katelyn Coon, who was involved in the accident. “I came around the corner and lost control of the car, tried to correct, and it just made it worse, and I slammed into that poor woman.”

The road was cleared as of 4 p.m. There were no major injuries reported.
