The Polk County Farmers Markets located inside The Saluda Center and Iron Key Brewing Columbus will kick off 2024 this weekend, starting back up after a two-week holiday break and continuing from January through March, offering a variety of locally produced goods.
The winter markets vendor list includes various products, from handmade crafts to fresh produce. Some of the vendors include Beagle Hill Honey, Soups On, Buttercup Cottage, 5 Star Redneck Farm, Appalachian Ways and Bloodroot Hollow Farm + Apothecary.
The community is invited to attend the winter markets to support local businesses and farmers. The Columbus Winter Market will occur on January 6, while the Saluda Winter Market will be held on January 13. The markets will continue on a rotating bi-weekly basis until March.
The Polk County Farmers Markets expressed their gratitude to The Community Foundation of WNC and the Polk County Community Foundation for supporting the markets.
“We also want to thank all the shoppers, vendors, Polk County, the staff, and the sponsors for all their support,” said Market Event Coordinator Maureen Mitchell. “We couldn’t do it without you.”
The winter market vendor application is now available on the Polk County Farmers Markets website. For more information, visit www.polkcountyfarms.org.
