A community garage sale to raise funds for civilians and soldiers in Ukraine will take place Saturday, September 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lake Lanier neighborhood. 

Antique and fine wood furniture, patio furniture, children’s toys, small appliances, quality dishes, kitchen items, birdhouses and artwork are just some of the items available for sale at the fundraiser. Look for signs at the corner of Jervey Rd. and Hwy. 176 on Saturday morning.

In addition, Biazzo Deli, located at 212 E Rutherford Street in Landrum, will have three vintage mixed-media abstract oil paintings by accomplished Florida artist Frank Walcutt on display at the event. Each piece, approximately 4 x 3 feet, is for sale for $200 or all three for $500. 

All proceeds from the community garage sale, as well as the sale of the three late 20th century unframed vintage mixed media abstract oil paintings, will go directly to people in Ukraine in their battle for freedom.
