“Excuse Us While We Succeed’ announces event in Saluda 

 

SALUDA—Excuse Us While We Succeed, a local community for female entrepreneurs, is hosting a Graffiti Wall Networking Event for women in the area on June 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at Saluda Moon Glass Studio on 24 W. Main St., in Saluda. 

The event is free and will provide paint and a large 12 x 8’ canvas for everyone who attends to create their own graffiti art.

Excuse Us While We Succeed supports and provides resources for new and seasoned women in business. The group is made up of over 30-plus members currently, from college students to retirees. They have monthly gatherings, networking events, educational programming, retreats, and parties, and strive for every woman to leave their events feeling empowered and inspired.

No art talent is needed for the Graffiti Wall Networking Event, and any woman interested in joining the group for a night of art and empowerment is invited. 

“As much as I love Saluda, after I moved to the area it was difficult at first to get out and meet people, especially after the pandemic,” says Ashley Sandahl, the founder of the group. “In 2022, I helped organize an event at eArthly Minds Gallery featuring a keynote speaker. Afterward, I figured, why not try and start a networking group?”

Sandahl says networking through the group has changed her life.

“It has opened doors I never thought possible. It’s a community where everyone defines success differently, but we’re still here for you to support your dreams.”
