Incument Mayor Bob Briggs was up for re-election but was not challenged so his name did not appear on the ballot Tuesday, according to the Spartanburg County Board of Elections, so retained his seat.

Candidates who retained their seats have been on council for many years in Landrum. Council members up for re-election this year all said they are proud of what the council has accomplished in Landrum and they all hope to help businesses and continue work they&squo;ve started in coming years.

Winners are normally sworn into office during December or January council meetings.
