FENCE invites the community to join them on Thursday, June 1 at 8 a.m. for a guided bird walk around the FENCE property.
With migration wrapping up, it’s a great time to observe bird behavior and interactions. These may include courtship behaviors, nesting and adults feeding begging young. Michael Plauché of Ventures Birding Tours will provide a fun two-hour bird walk to learn about the birds that breed in our area. This will be an easy walk along the trails at FENCE.
Birders of all skill levels are welcome to join. Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and bring along binoculars or bird guides if they have them.
This event is free and open to the public. FENCE thanks the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation for making this event possible.
FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon, North Carolina. For more information or to register for the event visit www.fence.org, email info@fence.org, or call 828-859-9021.
