The home decor store’s opening event will feature food, prizes

 

LYNN – Polk County residents have a new outlet to fuel their creativity with the opening of Dogwood Market, a home decor and home goods store located in the Valley Plaza shopping center in Lynn. 

Kaye Troyer, originally of Ohio, has called Polk County home for 17 years. After being a homemaker for 14 years, Troyer first opened Dogwood Market on May 4 with her husband, Marcus. 

“We carry everything from throw pillows, faux greenery and live houseplants to candles and kitchen wares,” says Troyer. “We are always growing and expanding in all areas.” 

Marcus also owns Dogwood Exteriors of Tryon, and the couple wanted to keep their business names related, paying homage to the state flower of North Carolina. Troyer chose the location in Lynn because of the proximity to her good friend Sarah Hinson, who owns Carolina Dragonfly Boutique in the same plaza. 

Dogwood Market’s official grand opening will be held this Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The new store is located at 2060 Lynn Road, Suite 10. The event will feature free cupcakes, popcorn and door prizes. Cloud Nine Espresso will also be at the event with its coffee cart.
