Recently, a dozen local artists participated in “Drawing Marathon V,” an event at Tryon’s Upstairs Artspace Gallery in which the artists brought all their materials and supplies to the gallery and worked together intensively over a weekend to produce a body of work for display in the gallery’s lower level. Pictured are Jessica Scott Felder, Phil Garrett, and David Gerhard, who participated in the event.
On display in the upstairs level are two shows: “Night Watch” featuring works by Vivian Liddell and Jeremy Phillips, and “Begat” featuring works by Warren Hicks.
The opening reception was held on Jan. 28, and all three exhibits are on display through March 10.
