Durham– Mark Eli Sullivan, 52, of Durham, formerly of Green Creek, went home to be with the Lord, Friday afternoon, January 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Anderson, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Bobby Sullivan and Betty Willard Sullivan. Mark was a 1987 graduate of Grace Christian School in Landrum. After high school, he worked several jobs until joining Horizon CNC in Greer. Later, he became co-founder and CEO of Brushy Creek Custom Doors. Mark was very involved in his church. He was a charter member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbus and former member of Grace Baptist Church in Landrum having served at both as a deacon, organist and children’s ministry.

Surviving is his loving wife of 30 years, Becky Shearer Sullivan; two sons, Chris Sullivan (Jess) and Braeden Sullivan all of Durham; two daughters, Kerigan Sullivan (David Ridings) of Greensboro and Kileigh Sullivan of Durham; one granddaughter, Ryah Sullivan; one brother, Luke Sullivan (Lisa) of Norfolk, Virginia; one sister, Leah Messer (Benny) of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbus.

A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Nathan Deatrick, Pastor Ron Caple and Pastor J.B. Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow in Ridings Cemetery in Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, Post Office Box 624, Columbus, North Carolina 28722.
