TRYON – Andrew Lehoskay, 90, of Tryon, passed away on December 7, 2022, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He was living with his son in Maryland.

Born in Elkhon, West Virginia to the late Stefan and Gizela Lehosky and was the youngest of thirteen children. After High School, he served in the U.S. Navy where he learned plumbing. After his tour of duty, he moved to Maryland where he married Doris Edney. He worked for the federal government as a plumber until his retirement. After retiring, he and Doris moved to Doris’ hometown, Tryon, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Edney Lehoskay, and four children, James Lehoskay, David Lehoskay, Owen Lehoskay, and Marie Edney Greenholtz.

He is survived by his son, Andrew S. Lehoskay (Lori) of Maryland; one sister, Pearl DiMuzio (Camillo) of Ohio. Also, surviving are five grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022, in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus with Reverend Meghan Young officiating.

Military honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
