With a wide spectrum of cinema genres, the 8th annual Tryon International Film Festival will be Friday-Sunday, Oct. 7-9, screening 52 films from around the world. There are eight categories this year, including student films, features, documentaries, and animation.
The 12 workshops are free to both ticket holders and the general public and are designed for anyone with an interest in the art and business of cinema. After the three-day in-person festival, all films will be available online to ticket holders for 10 days. Most activities will be centered in downtown Tryon, nestled in the foothills of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains.
The festival will start with a street gala on Friday night and will end with a reception after the awards ceremonies on Sunday night. In addition to films and workshops, there will be many social activities, such as parties and receptions.
