In Polk County Criminal Superior Court on Aug. 1, 2022 with Judge Mark E. Powell presiding, 69 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Brian Anthony Counts was convicted of failure to inform of new/changes and felony dissemination of obscenity. Counts was sentenced to 17-30 months in prison with 106 days credit.
Joshua Oren Hardin was convicted of 2 counts of larceny after break/enter and first-degree kidnapping. Hardin was sentenced to months in prison for larceny after break/enter and 140-180 months in prison for kidnapping, with 852 days credit.
Kevin Markland was convicted of child abuse. Markland was sentenced to 47 months supervised probation and 10 days in jail with credit.
