The Daffy Jills Garden Club presented a check this week for $600 to the local 4H to be used to replace the Nigerian pygmy goats that were killed by the bear last year. The barn is in the final stage of completion and will be “bear proof” for animals at night and on weekends. The final work will include fenced pastures with different types of grass. Members representing the Daffy Jills Garden Club were co-presidents, Nancy Easley and Claudia Law, with Lois Machida, Nancy Hiley and Carolyn West.
