Polk County’s boys soccer program will begin Matt Corn’s tenure as head coach with a pair of home matches to kick off the 2022 season.
The Wolverines will begin play August 17, hosting West Henderson in a non-conference battle. That’s followed by a home match against Smoky Mountain on August 22 as Corn, taking over the Wolverines’ program, gets back-to-back matches in G.M. Tennant Stadium to begin the season.
Polk County will open its Mountain Foothills 7 Conference schedule on Sept. 12 as Patton visits. That is one of just two home matches in September, with the other a Sept. 28 tilt against East Rutherford.
The Wolverines close the season with a run of four home matches from Sept. 28 until Oct. 19, the latter the regular-season home finale against Chase. Polk will then travel to East Rutherford and Brevard to close the regular season.
All home matches will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
