Taylor’s 8U Polk Wolverines win Foothills Baseball Championship

On Friday night, Coach Jay Taylor’s 8U Polk Wolverines won the Foothills Baseball Championship in Landrum. The Wolverines were 8-2 in the regular season and 4-1 in the Foothills Baseball Tournament, where they beat McDowell’s Landrum team for the championship with the final score of 12-5. 

 

Polk County had to play 3 games back to back Friday, May 27 at the ballfield in Landrum.

First, they played an Inman team, winning 19-3. Then, they played a close game against McDowell’s Landrum team to continue on to the final round.
