Thermal Belt Habitat for Humanity and the Habitat ReStore in Landrum invites the community to a ribbon-cutting at the ReStore, in partnership with the Foothills Chamber of commerce. Volunteers and staff have given the store a fresh new look, with new paint, flooring, shelving and display areas.
The reveal of the new look and the introduction of the Cabinet Program will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 13th at the store, located at 132 North Trade Avenue, Landrum. There will be refreshments served and prize giveaways.
The introduction of the Cabinet Program offers a new option to people building or redesigning kitchens and baths on a budget. People will meet with the design specialist in the store to make selections and orders will arrive in 4-5 weeks. Habitat also offers a “deconstruction” service to remove old cabinets from homes at no cost.
The nonprofit Thermal Belt Habitat for Humanity uses proceeds from the ReStore to aid its mission of eliminating substandard housing in the community. The ReStore provides access to lower-cost building materials and household goods. Habitat also works to be responsible for the environment by keeping quality goods out of the landfill. The ReStore generates funds to build more Habitat homes in the Thermal Belt area.
