SALUDA – A beloved part of Saluda’s Main Street is back. Ward’s Grill reopened Tuesday, May 3, under the new management of Josh and Taylor Holmes. The City of Saluda and the Saluda Business Association held a ribbon-cutting on Monday in front of the historic grill at 24 E. Main St. to commemorate the event.
The Holmes, combined, have more than 30 years’ experience in restaurants. “We want to bring back the Ward’s Grill you all know and love,” said Josh. “We plan to keep to the tradition of the grill and serve delicious food with utmost attention to detail, quality, and cleanliness.”
Attending the ribbon cutting were Mayor Tangie Morgan, City Manager Steve Orr, Polk County Commissioner Tommy Melton, Sheriff Timothy Wright, Business Association Chairperson Marc Blazar and members of the public.
The grill will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and will offer breakfast and hamburgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, and milkshakes.
