Over $4,000 worth of goods stolen from Hay Rack in Landrum
LANDRUM––A few weeks ago in Landrum, an incident involving two men took place at the Hay Rack on Hwy. 14. Landrum Police Department is now asking the public for help during this ongoing investigation.
Two unknown males arrived at the Hay Rack to pick up goods that were paid for over the phone. The value of their goods was over $4,000, according to Officer Levi Bouwkamp. Two days later, Hay Rack management was informed by the actual cardholder that the charge was fraudulent and would be reported to their bank.
The Hay Rack returned the funds received.
LPD is now trying to find the two men who are responsible for this larceny. They were driving a white 1990s model GMC Sierra, towing a black enclosed trailer. The truck has a Georgia license plate, but the registered owner is neither of the two men in the pictures.
