“We make things and seed them into the world, never fully knowing — often never knowing at all — whom they will reach and how they will blossom in other hearts, how their meaning will unfold in contexts we never imagined.” ~ W.S. Merwin, excerpt from “Berryman”
Oh, March…month of kites, wind, and sudden changes. One weekend, bitter winter sinks wicked claws in, then spring pushes back.
With daylight saving time back, there was time last evening to go putter around the garden, uncovering tender plants and putting pots back in place from protected hiding spots I’d stuck them in before the big freeze and snow showers hit. A few came inside to find better lodgings.
Some were frost-bit, some droopy, but I think everybody will come back out to play. That’s life, two steps back, one step forward, and on. Time to get those kites out and run with the wind!
