Tryon, NC– Alexander “Alex” James Helmuth, 23, of Tryon, NC unexpectedly went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 7, 2022.
Alex was a loving son, brother and friend.  He was a caring peacemaker with steady depth and wisdom, always willing to help when needed.  Alex was a member of Foothills Community Chapel. He loved his church and was devoted to the youth group.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, shooting skeet, hunting, riding his motorcycle and snowboarding. Though Alex wasn’t the chattiest and considered himself to be socially awkward, he was an absolute social butterfly who brought many smiles and reached out to those around him.
He was the youngest son of Roger and Cynthia Helmuth born on March 20, 1998.
Along with his parents, he leaves behind three brothers and one sister, Dwayne Helmuth, Kyle Helmuth, Tony Helmuth and Cassandra Helmuth; two sisters-in-law, Stephanie Helmuth (Dwayne), and Tayler Helmuth (Kyle); a nephew, Paxton Helmuth and five nieces, Ayla Helmuth, Samantha Helmuth, Harper Helmuth, Skylar Helmuth and Leighton Helmuth.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Foothills Community Chapel in Columbus, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022,at Foothills Community Chapel in Columbus, NC.
The burial will be held in the church cemetery following the service.
