The Landrum Cardinals 2G football team captured the Foothills Youth Football League championship on November 6 with a 20-6 victory over the number 2 seeded Chesnee Eagles. Landrum completed their season 7-0, scoring 165 points while only giving up the one touchdown in the championship game. Offensively, the Cardinals amassed over 1,000 yards and held opponents to negative total yardage in 5 of their 7 games. Coaches attribute the team’s success to the hard work and dedication of the players – from multiple practices a week to individual work and practice at home. Coaches for the 2021 season are Chad Arledge, Tony Wells, Justin Horton, Josh Ayers, Jeremy Fancher and Brandon Moore. The team is comprised of Ike Fancher, Sammy Wagner, Tucker Ayers, Kayden Horton, Kaleb Burnett, Kamden Bradshaw, Keegan Nodine, Zavian Hall, Iane Horton, Logan Pack, Kayleb Wells, Kayden Wells, Patrick Sexton, Maddox Robinson, Blake Wall, Wyatt Arledge and Abel Ragin.
