TRYON — Raymond A. Froehlich, 67, of Tryon, passed away Monday, June 21st at Mission Hospital with his devoted sister by his side. 

Ray was born February 27, 1954 in Copiague, New York to the late William Froehlich and Helen (Kalbacher) Froehlich. He is survived by his sister Joan (Froehlich) McAdam, his nephews Bryan and Keith McAdam and their wives Tonya (Stewart) and Hope (Scheetz), and great nephew Eamon.

Ray graduated from Rush Henrietta Sperry High School in Rochester NY in 1972. He retired from a career in human resources at Walt Disney World Florida in 2009 after 22 years of service. He relocated to Tryon with his father in 2010. Ray was in immensely creative and talented soul who excelled in anything he took on from photography to gardening, crocheting to poetry. He had a lifelong passion for music, the arts and international cultures, and could cook dishes from any continent like a native chef.

He loved his family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Family and close friends will be celebrating his life in private.
