It is with great sadness that the Shepherd’s Feast has been cancelled for 2020.

This annual Christmas Day dinner has become a tradition for so many members of the community who either volunteer or attend this free meal on Christmas Day.

Ross Fox, who passed away in 2016, started the Shepherd’s Feast in 2006 with the idea that no one should have to be alone on Christmas Day. Together with a group of volunteers from the community and the generous donations of area restaurants and businesses, the Christmas Feast grew from a small gathering to over 300. After Ross’s passing, others stepped up to keep the Shepherd’s Feast alive. 

Last year, there were over 70 volunteers who prepared the food, served the tables and washed the dishes. Many of those volunteers have served at the feast for the entire 15 years.

This year we just could not find a way to safely come together, and we are all disappointed. But we will be back in 2021!
