On Sunday, September 13, Tom Fisch will be performing in the outdoor pavilion at 4:00 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public, registration is required to attend.
Flat Rock folk singer Tom Fisch’s style has been described as “…great acoustic music…a cross between Tony Rice, James Taylor and Guy Clark.” Years of traveling and performing have honed Tom’s shows into a relaxed exchange between artist and audience. Interspersed with stories and anecdotes, his concerts flow smoothly from a beloved traditional song to one of Tom’s fine originals to a favorite cover from one of the many artists who’ve inspired his music through the years. Wherever Tom performs, audiences continue to connect with the warm, appealing style and diverse range of material and talent he brings to the stage.
“To describe Tom’s music is a bit like describing a favorite recipe—the first ingredient is tasteful acoustic guitar playing. Second, add Tom’s rich vocal style. Sprinkle in a dash of humor. Combine with the heart and soul of an eclectic mix of songs from the great American songbook in the folk/country style, and you’ve cooked up some enjoyable entertainment.”
In order to allow this programming, FENCE has made some slight changes to adhere to NC guidelines and ensure a safe experience for all who attend. The program will be moved outdoors to the pavilion adjacent to the FENCE center. The pavilion is undercover to allow for shade and protection from rain. Pre-registration will be required to attend the program. We will be limiting the number of attendees to keep in line with guidelines on outdoor gatherings. Please register by calling FENCE at 828-859-9021 or emailing info@fence.org. If you plan to attend, please wear a face covering and do your best to distance yourself from other attendees. Seating will be spaced out more than usual and hand sanitizer will be available. Thank you for understanding and FENCE is looking forward to seeing the community again!
This program is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. To register for this program please call FENCE at 828-859-9021 or email info@fence.org.
