Columbus issues arrests warrants for South Carolina man
COLUMBUS—The Columbus Police Department has issued arrest warrants for a South Carolina man suspected of taking items from the Dollar General in Columbus.
The police department sought the public’s help identifying him earlier this week from surveillance taken at the store on Wednesday.
Christopher Webb, 35, of Boiling Springs, S.C. was identified as the suspect, according to police reports.
Columbus Police Chief Scott Hamby said on Thursday that arrest warrants have been taken out on Webb for misdemeanor larceny.
As of Thursday, Webb had not yet been arrested.
Webb was identified after being on video surveillance wearing a specific company shirt and getting into a white SUV with South Carolina plates.
