TRYON – Yoshikazu “Yoshi” Kinoshita, 84, of Tryon, NC passed away on Tuesday evening, July 28, 2020 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC.
Born in Osaka, Japan, he came to America in the late 1960s, where he became a US citizen. Having already had a successful career as horse trainer/ riding teacher in Japan, like his father, he continued this career in the USA, on the east coast. He eventually retired in Tryon.
Yoshi had a great sense of fun and a passion for life, his family and friends, and his hobbies, latterly including bridge and environmental pursuits, that will be sorely missed and always remembered.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Diane Goodrich Kinoshita; one daughter, Taki Austin of London, UK; two grandchildren, Eve and Owen Austin.
No formal services are planned.
