Somebody I Love Wears Blue

Somebody I love wears blue;
He’s clothed in honor and devotes his life to protect me and you.

His days are long and fear is real;
The enemy lurks; the task surreal.

One might say; it’s his duty; his job;
But what about the one who decides to rob?

While many fear and run away
The one in blue has vowed to stay.

For years we’ve hailed them as our heroes;
Today, they are called society’s “zeroes.”

You may ask, “Who is this man/woman who wears the blue?”
They’re moms, dads, sons and daughters who will risk their very life to save you! Somebody I love wears blue;
