Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC) is holding a weekly photo contest to encourage creative endeavors during this period of staying at home.
With more available free time than usual, local photographers, both amateur and professional, have put their hands and brain to good use and made some art, in order to help clear the cobwebs and grease the gears of thought and creativity. Now in its sixth week, the photography contest has been an artistic challenge, which many have taken on with an impressive use of the lens.
Professional photographer, Monica Stevenson, has been instrumental implementing this contest, creating weekly themes, and judging the entries.
We are incredibly grateful to have TFAC board member Monica Stevenson spearheading this contest. We receive remarkable entries each week, and she has the difficult job of choosing the winners,” says TFAC executive director, Marianne Carruth.
Four weeks of the contest are complete. For a complete list of all of the winners and entries, visit TFAC’s Facebook or website www.tryonarts.org.
